i’ve heard before that from the forming of israel as a nation it’s only one generation till the Lord comes, where is that from? it seems like if that’s true, we’re running out of time.

Hi John, good question & I heard something a long this line quite a long time ago, but basically Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 24
MAT.24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
MAT.24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
MAT.24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
MAT.24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
In other words when you shall see these signs of the times that Jesus spoke about in this chapter, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Of course we know that Israel has a role to play in the endtime & became a nation in May 14th,1948. Jesus spoke in verse 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Jesus warns us that when we see the abomination of desolation in the Holy place (the rebuilt Jewish Temple in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, then is the Great Tribulation that last 3-1/2 years. Also, Ezekiel Chapter 38 has a lot to say about Israel & I did an article on that topic. Israel is fulfilling a big part of the Great Endtime play so to speak.
